Background and Professional Experience

After graduating from Elizabeth Seton College in 1988, Lisa enrolled at the New York Institute of Technology. She graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and started writing, editing, and ghostwriting. In 2009, she served as a temporary editor at Hudson Valley Parent magazine, a media production focused on providing parenting advice on rearing healthy and happy kids and publishing extensive guides on helping families find great camps, schools, and places to visit in the Hudson Valley.

From 2012 to 2014, Lisa was hired as a content editor at Hibu, where her main responsibilities included writing cover stories, proofreading, completing managerial tasks like creating schedules and event calendars, and working with other writers.

With topics ranging from biographies of famous people and real estate books to comprehensive guides on bowling and combating arthritis, Lisa has ghost-written and contributed to the creation of more than 25 books. Here’s a short list of books and topics Lisa worked on:

Other Projects

In 2014, Lisa launched The Virgin Traveler blog, dedicated to traveling across America and the joy of discovering new places. The Virgin Traveler offers a personal-style perspective on America’s trademark locations and less-visited gems as Lisa peruses small cities, visits quaint and cozy hotels, and shares her love for sightseeing, visiting museums, and important landmarks. Described in a concise motto, “Turning my ‘someday’ into today,” Lisa writes about her trips across North America, shares her experience, provides advice for other travelers, and emphasizes the importance of living here and now.

One of the other projects that Lisa is passionate about is her work at the Sports Palooza Radio Show, where she contributes as a writer. She takes interviews and writes articles about sports, the NFL playoffs, the Olympics, and the lives of professional athletes.
